The Covid Voucher may be used for any Grimaldi Lines maritime connection, including international Adriatic trips from Italy to Greece (operated by Grimaldi Minoan Lines).
The Covid Voucher may be used to book a new ticket on any Grimaldi Lines maritime connection. If the new ticket has a higher value than the unused one, the customer must pay the difference in fare.
After 30 months from the date of issue of an unused voucher, a refund of the amount will be paid within 14 days. The same refund may be requested by the passenger after 12 months from the date of issue and will be paid within fourteen days of the request. The request must be sent by email to email@example.com by the customer who purchased the original ticket directly from Grimaldi Lines or by the travel agency that made the original booking.
Of course, you can use the voucher if you pay the difference in fare when making the new booking.
Of course, the difference may be recovered by requesting a new voucher valid for all departures on sale at the time of its use (with no expiry).
The voucher is a personal, non-transferable credit linked to the booking holder, that is, the named passenger of the cancelled ticket. The named passenger may travel with other travel companions, but may not transfer the value of the voucher to another passenger.
A passenger who falls within the cases listed in the art. 88-bis of the legislative decree 18/2020, may request the voucher:
Art. 88-bis D.L. n. 18/2020 (ss.mm.ii.) provides for the possibility of requesting a refund of the ticket in case of inability to travel due to the following situations:
– quarantine or fiduciary isolation of the passenger;
– restrictions on mobility ordered by the national authorities that affect the areas of residence, departure or arrival;
– cancellation due to the pandemic of public competitions or events, in case of travel planned for the relative participation;
– ban on entry / disembarkation for reasons connected with the pandemic imposed by foreign countries of destination.
The carrier can refund the ticket by issuing a voucher equal to the price of the ticket (so-called covid voucher).

In case of cancellation of the trip by the passenger, due to circumstances other than those indicated in art. 88-bis D.L. 18/2020, the conditions for canceling the ticket provided for apply, in relation to the type of fare purchased.
