Pets on board
Travel by ferry with your 4-legged friend
For dogs and cats there are accommodations dedicated to their stay, other animals (rabbits, birds, reptiles, etc.) must travel in carriers or cases owned by the passenger. No animals can access the cabins, unless the pet in cabin service, described below, is purchased. The four-legged friends can safely walk together with their owners on all the external decks of the ships, equipped with a leash and muzzle; failing that, it is possible to refuse boarding. Access is not permitted to them in common areas, restaurants, lounges and passenger lounges.
Remember to include the pet in your booking, whether made online, through the call center or with your trusted travel agency. The cost of the animal includes housing in the cage or cabin, upon purchase of the pet in cabin service. The food and cleaning of the animal’s needs are the responsibility of its owner.
If you want to bring your pet in the cabin with you, you have to buy the onboard service called pet in cabin, at the cost of € 10 per cabin per journey. The advantage is that the 4-legged traveler can have access to any type of cabin choosen during reservation and always remain together with his owner in maximum comfort.
The pet in cabin service allows you to manage the accommodation with the necessary care and hygiene, providing a specific bed kit and, after use, an end-of-trip cleaning treatment suitable for the presence of animals.
The customer who chooses the onboard service which allows to bring the pet in cabin can also ask to the reception a welcome bag including some free products to make the crossing of his 4-legged friend even more comfortable. The cabins can accommodate up to 3 pets and everyone can receive his welcome bag.
The pet in cabin is an on-board service with limited availability and can be purchased through any booking channel.
Blind passengers can travel accompanied by their guide dog, at no additional cost, upon formal written communication to the Company. The PMR assistance dog can travel in the cabin with its owner without paying the supplement for the pet in cabin service and must be reported upon boarding.
Remember to pack some essential things for your pet:
… and don’t forget its favourite toy!
Hygienic bags are available on board and can be requested at the reception.
